Android Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop next-generation IoT applications for Smart Buildings
• Collaborate with cloud and firmware engineers to improve software products
• Architect and develop high-quality code and algorithms for Android gateway applications
• Design, implement, test, and deliver new features in a scaled agile environment
• Write user documentation for internal processes and external customer support
• Work with product managers to write user stories and refine acceptance criteria
• Ensure secure coding practices are followed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• 8+ years of professional experience in Java and Kotlin for Android/Linux platforms
• 4+ years of experience specifically with Kotlin
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK and various Android versions
• Experience with testing libraries such as JUnit, Espresso, and Robolectric
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and connecting applications to back-end services
• Proficiency with Java package management tools like Gradle or Maven
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Practical experience with SDLC tools such as Git and Azure DevOps
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a global setup

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the HVAC domain
• Experience with IoT technologies
