Responsibilities

• Use editorial judgment to help determine the content of newscasts
• Work with producers and the newsroom team to create unique, fast-paced, and innovative newscasts
• Develop story ideas, write, shoot, and edit news stories for on-air, mobile, and social platforms
• Use social media and social listening to determine newscast content and highlight trending stories
• Write and post daily content across all digital platforms, including social media
• Develop original content through independent sources and community relationships
• Deliver on-air news events in an engaging, exciting, and accurate manner
• Interview news subjects and conduct research to ensure facts and credibility

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of news anchor or reporting experience
• Ability to write, shoot, and edit news stories for television and digital platforms
• Proven ability to deliver news in an engaging, captivating, and authentic manner
• Experience using the latest editing and photography tools to tell compelling stories
• Strong social media content creation and digital engagement skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a news-gathering vehicle
• Journalism or Communication degree preferred
