Anchor & Reporter

Responsibilities

• Anchor newscasts and special coverage with confidence, credibility, and strong editorial judgment
• Report live from the field on breaking news, major events, and enterprise stories
• Develop, research, write, and produce compelling stories for broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms
• Conduct impactful interviews and gather information from a wide range of sources
• Collaborate with producers, assignment editors, and digital teams to deliver comprehensive coverage
• Create engaging content for social media and digital platforms to extend newsroom reach
• Represent the station at community events and public appearances

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or equivalent experience
• Minimum three years of reporting and/or anchoring experience in Spanish-language television news
• Fully bilingual in Spanish and English (written and spoken)
• Exceptional live reporting and ad-lib skills
• Strong writing, storytelling, and interviewing abilities
• Working knowledge of newsroom systems and non-linear editing
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be willing to work from the Los Angeles office and become a member of SAG-AFTRA

Preferred Qualifications

• Major market television news experience
• Deep understanding of the Hispanic community and issues impacting local audiences
• Familiarity with digital publishing and multiplatform storytelling

Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $150,000 - $160,000
• Comprehensive benefits package subject to the applicable union collective bargaining agreement
