About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a high-quality mortuary service
- Assist with post-mortem examinations
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintain equipment
- Adhere to HTA standards
- Work collaboratively with pathologists, coroners’ officers, and clinical teams to ensure safe and respectful care of the deceased
Requirements
- Diploma Level 3 in Anatomical Pathology Technology or equivalent
- Knowledge of HTA compliance
- Experience working within an NHS or public sector mortuary
- Experience with mortuary equipment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work sensitively and professionally in a mortuary environment
