Anatomical Pathology Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized histological techniques
• Prepare and process tissue samples for microscopic examination
• Assist pathologists with autopsies and other diagnostic procedures
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Accurately record and manage data

Requirements

• Level 3 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Emotional resilience and maturity to handle sensitive situations
• Good communication skills and ability to interact compassionately with bereaved families
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Knowledge of health and safety protocols in handling deceased individuals
