About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide analyzer expertise to support reliability improvement and long-term equipment maintenance initiatives.
- Develop and manage equipment strategies in alignment with site safety and reliability practices.
- Provide technical expertise for field and online analyzer applications, including chromatographic, spectroscopic, and electrochemical systems.
- Monitor process analyzer performance data and apply statistical tools to assess and drive improvements.
- Lead or support incident investigations and root-cause failure analysis to address equipment failures.
- Support greenfield and brownfield projects through design specifications, engineering calculations, and cost estimation.
- Participate in risk assessments, including HAZOP and HAZID.
- Assist with analyzer testing, commissioning, start-up, and lifecycle management.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Instrumentation and Controls, Electronics, or Chemical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum 1 year of experience supporting Online Process Analyzers within the oil & gas, refining, or petrochemical industry.
- Practical knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques such as Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry.
- Familiarity with analyzer equipment from vendors such as Siemens, Yokogawa, ABB, or Emerson.
- Valid work permit for India.
- Must have completed a B.E./B.Tech through a regular full-time program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with international projects in multi-national companies (MNC) or joint ventures.
- Knowledge of analyzer communication/transmission protocols and networking for DCS/PLC interfaces.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis using tools like SAP or advanced Excel.
- Ability to support multivariate model-based analyzer applications.
