Analyzer Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide analyzer expertise to support reliability improvement and long-term equipment maintenance initiatives.
• Develop and manage equipment strategies in alignment with site safety and reliability practices.
• Provide technical expertise for field and online analyzer applications, including chromatographic, spectroscopic, and electrochemical systems.
• Monitor process analyzer performance data and apply statistical tools to assess and drive improvements.
• Lead or support incident investigations and root-cause failure analysis to address equipment failures.
• Support greenfield and brownfield projects through design specifications, engineering calculations, and cost estimation.
• Participate in risk assessments such as HAZOP and HAZID.
• Assist with analyzer testing, commissioning, start-up, and lifecycle management.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering degree in Instrumentation and Controls, Electronics, or Chemical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 1 year of experience supporting Online Process Analyzers within the oil & gas, refining, or petrochemical industry.
• Practical knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques such as Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry.
• Familiarity with analyzer equipment from vendors such as Siemens, Yokogawa, ABB, or Emerson.
• Valid work permit for India.
• Must have completed a B.E./B.Tech through a regular full-time program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with international projects in multi-national companies (MNC) or joint ventures.
• Knowledge of analyzer communication protocols and networking for Distributed Control Systems (DCS) interfaces.
• Proficiency in data collection and analysis using tools like SAP or advanced Excel.
• Ability to support multivariate model-based analyzer applications.
