Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Translate report requirements into efficient data retrieval strategies, including SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Participate in report requirement design sessions with clients and internal Professional Service teams.
• Translate customer requests into technical specifications and functional code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to business intelligence and data retrieval.
• Create and present technical designs, solutions, and demonstrations to leadership and stakeholders.
• Support client implementation projects through software configuration, testing, and go-live support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
• 3+ years of proficiency with relational databases, transactional schemas, and star schemas.
• Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and MSSQL T-SQL.
• Extensive experience with SAP Business Objects (Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, etc.).
• Proven experience in database performance tuning.
• Basic JAVA skills for modifying existing code.
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating and enhancing reports in SAP Business Objects.
• Ability to build and maintain Sisense dashboards, including filters, drilldowns, and ElastiCubes.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Pentaho or Informatica.
• Knowledge of Visio, HTML, and database client software like TOAD or SQL Developer.
