About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain dimensional models and data transformations to convert raw operational data into reliable analytical assets.
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts and Business stakeholders to define requirements and implement solutions for data transformation and semantic layer systems.
- Contribute to the development and documentation of engineering and analytics best practices.
- Execute small-to-medium projects on the Analytics Engineering roadmap with minimal oversight.
- Perform Root Cause Analyses of data defects using existing data quality checks and monitoring pipelines.
- Support the administration of the analytics platform, including managing access requests and participating in support channels.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience working with SQL.
- 1+ years of experience developing in a semantic modeling language (e.g., LookML).
- 1+ years of experience developing within a modern data transformation tool like dbt.
- 1+ years of experience with cloud database tools (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with healthcare or insurance industry data and reporting.
- Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform and dbt.
- Experience building dimensional models, such as star schemas and slowly changing dimensions.
- Strong communication skills with experience partnering with non-technical stakeholders.
