About the role

Responsibilities

  • Architect Silver and Gold Medallion layers of the Lakehouse using Spark and SQL to ensure clean, documented, and tested data.
  • Design and maintain Microsoft Fabric Semantic Models in Direct Lake mode to establish a single source of truth.
  • Translate complex business logic from Sales and Finance stakeholders into precise technical data definitions and models.
  • Structure data for LLM consumption to enable accurate navigation by AI Data Agents.
  • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and maintain data lineage to ensure governance and compliance.
  • Lead project-specific data model design, prepare specifications, and conduct feature estimations.
  • Perform root cause analysis on data anomalies and optimize pipeline performance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in business analytics, data modeling, or data engineering (or a Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience).
  • 5+ years of experience with relational modeling and Microsoft tabular semantic models.
  • Expert-level SQL skills and 5+ years of experience with Power BI and DAX.
  • 5+ years of experience with Spark (SQL, PySpark, or Scala).
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric tools and the Delta Lake format.
  • Expertise in Star Schema and Dimensional modeling.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and modern development workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with governance, security best practices, and performance tuning in cloud environments.
  • Background in the media or broadcasting industry.
  • Knowledge of serverless architectures and containerized deployment.
