Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of supply data by building reliable, ready-for-analysis datasets and scalable data pipelines.
• Identify overlapping data needs across forecasts, optimization, and reporting to create reusable mart tables.
• Build and monitor data pipelines using Python and GCP to ensure platform health.
• Simplify existing transformations to prevent downstream teams from rebuilding logic.
• Document schemas, lineage, and data contracts to maintain a single source of truth.
• Manage platform governance, including IAM roles, cost monitoring, performance tuning, and data validity checks.
• Mentor junior analysts and improve SQL proficiency across the Supply unit.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional data engineering experience, specifically turning operational data into governed analytics layers.
• Strong Python skills for ETL and orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with GCP and BigQuery.
• Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex CTEs, window functions, and query optimization.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to design clear, structured plans for improving complex, tangled systems.
• Strong collaborative skills to establish data contracts with stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern transformation and orchestration tools like dbt or Dagster.
• Familiarity with AWS core services, such as Batch, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Domain knowledge in supply chain or logistics.
• Exposure to data cataloging and data observability platforms.
