Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain statistical, mathematical, and machine learning models to support financial crime detection and transaction monitoring.
• Acquire and collect data from internal databases, external datasets, and real-time feeds, performing necessary cleaning and pre-processing.
• Conduct detailed model analysis, tuning, and optimization for Transaction Monitoring systems deployed globally.
• Monitor model performance in real-time to identify potential issues, biases, or risks.
• Collaborate with Control Owners, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to communicate model risk and lifecycle data.
• Lead training and mentoring sessions to uplift machine learning capabilities across the organization.
• Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies and frameworks to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of AI innovation.

Requirements

• Advanced coding skills in Python, PySpark, Scala, or SQL.
• Strong background in analytics with a deep understanding of databases, data modeling, mathematics, and machine learning.
• Proven ability to solve multi-faceted problems using logical analytics and present findings through visualization tools and business-friendly language.
• Experience in complex data analysis from multiple internal and external sources.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience in Financial Crime, specifically within Transaction Monitoring (TM).
• Expertise in model risk validation, tuning, and optimization.
• Experience with entity resolution and network analysis.
