About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare samples for analysis using established tests and techniques
- Perform routine chemical, metrological, and metallurgical analysis and reporting
- Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment, including troubleshooting and verifications
- Sample and test physical characteristics in a production environment
- Manage lab organization, inventory, safety audits, and special projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science or related field, or 2+ years of related experience
- Experience in laboratory, quality, or chemical production settings
- Proficiency in laboratory practices including waste handling and safe work practices
- Experience with test methods such as ICP-OES, auto-titration, X-Ray Fluorescence, or Total Organic Carbon
- Ability to perform basic chemistry math and calculations
- Proficiency with LIMS and Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift 35 lbs and use a step ladder
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods
