Analytical Chemistry Principal Research Associate

Responsibilities

• Purify small molecules using HPLC and SFC to support medicinal chemistry programs
• Develop and optimize SFC purification methods, including chiral and achiral separations
• Perform analytical testing to confirm the purity, identity, and quality of compounds
• Execute small molecule property assays such as solubility, lipophilicity, and stability assessments
• Partner with medicinal chemists to meet project timelines and compound delivery needs
• Troubleshoot purification and assay issues and optimize laboratory workflows
• Maintain accurate records in electronic lab notebooks and communicate results to project teams
• Support the routine operation and maintenance of chromatography instruments

Requirements

• Master's degree with 2+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience
• Hands-on experience with HPLC and SFC purification
• Proven experience in small molecule purification and characterization
• Proficiency with laboratory data systems and electronic lab notebooks
• Experience with discovery informatics or compound tracking systems
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with software development, scripting, or coding
• Demonstrated ability to drive technical work independently with limited oversight
