Analyst/Senior Analyst, Business Risk Management and Surveillance

Responsibilities

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert on front office key controls, suitability, and surveillance.
• Perform reviews and assessments on the effectiveness and adequacy of existing controls.
• Escalate non-compliance findings to stakeholders and follow up on remediation efforts.
• Conduct monitoring and surveillance activities to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and risks.
• Develop corrective action plans for problematic issues and provide guidance to prevent future occurrences.
• Assess the feasibility and implementation implications for new controls, processes, and products.
• Maintain updated business risk management procedures and promote a strong risk culture through advisory and training.
• Support the business during internal and regulatory audits.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Cantonese (speaking, reading, and writing).
• 2 to 8 years of related experience in Wealth Management or Business Risk Management within the banking industry.
• Knowledge of MAS, SFC, and HKMA regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing multiple competing deadlines and manual processes in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in investment suitability or fraud surveillance, or within a compliance/audit function, is highly advantageous.

• Strong Excel, macro, and report presentation skills.
