Analyst QA I

Responsibilities

• Perform physical and chemical testing on food products as outlined in the Quality Assurance Manual
• Monitor critical control points (CCPs) including pH, water activity, and metal detection
• Collect and organize retain samples at prescribed frequencies
• Report processing or packaging line problems immediately to the Production Supervisor and QA Manager
• Maintain lab equipment calibration and keep the work area clean and orderly
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), and safety guidelines
• Ensure conformity to company, customer, and government standards including HACCP and OSHA

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field, or 2 years of relevant experience
• Basic science skills, including math and accurate data collection
• Proficiency in computer data entry
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment
• Ability to stand for 8–10 hour shifts and perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment
