About the role

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Software Asset Management (SAM) platforms, specifically Flexera and ServiceNow SAM Pro.
  • Configure and troubleshoot integrations between SAM platforms and data sources such as SCCM/MECM, JAMF, Active Directory, and cloud platforms.
  • Manage the full software asset lifecycle, including discovery, normalization, reconciliation, and entitlement management.
  • Develop compliance dashboards and operational reports using SQL Server, Power BI, and related tools.
  • Support license harvesting and reclamation initiatives to optimize software spend and recover unused licenses.
  • Act as the primary technical support resource for SAM platforms, coordinating with vendor support teams for issue resolution.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in systems administration, software asset management, or infrastructure support.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on administration experience with Flexera and ServiceNow SAM Pro.
  • Proven experience with software license compliance, reconciliation, and optimization processes.
  • Technical proficiency with SCCM/MECM, Active Directory, JAMF, and VMware.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, cloud infrastructure, and software licensing models.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Flexera and/or ServiceNow SAM Pro certifications.
  • Experience with PowerShell, SQL, VBS, or HTML scripting.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server Database Administration and Power BI dashboard development.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux Server administration.
