Analyst

Responsibilities

• Research, review, and audit trade finance documents, including letters of credit renewals, maturity files, and discrepancy notifications.
• Identify and escalate potential risks associated with letters of credit transactions.
• Reconcile and balance letters of credit fees, liabilities, and posted items.
• Investigate customer inquiries while adhering to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Support the processing of specialized transactions such as amendments, acceptances, and collections reimbursements.
• Assist with the preparation and recording of issuances and negotiations for standby and commercial letters of credit, supply chain finance, and dynamic discounting.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and regional government regulatory agencies, including AML, BSA, and international standards like UCP and ISP.
• Assist in tracking and improving standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in finance or a relevant field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience within a complex financial services environment, specifically in trade finance servicing or supply chain finance.
• Basic understanding of financial products, accounting principles, and compliance regulations.
• Knowledge of economic and political risks in international trade, such as exchange rate risk.
• Working knowledge of trade financing reporting, reconciliation, and audit mechanisms.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
