Analyst - Incident Response

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end incident investigation and response, including detection, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Monitor and triage security alerts from SOC tools and escalate incidents as required.
• Conduct timeline analysis using CrowdStrike EDR to identify attack vectors and impacted systems.
• Analyze logs and create queries in Splunk (SIEM) for threat detection and correlation.
• Perform email header analysis to identify phishing, spoofing, and other email-based threats.
• Investigate complex incidents involving data exfiltration, financial fraud, and zero-day threats.
• Assess incident impact, severity, and business risk while documenting findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with IT, Cloud, and Network teams to support remediation and recovery efforts.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of IR playbooks and SOC processes.

Requirements

• 3-8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with specific experience in SOC monitoring and Incident Response.
• Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) degree.
• Proficiency with CrowdStrike EDR (event timeline analysis and RTR experience).
• Strong experience with Splunk SIEM (log analysis and query writing).
• Hands-on experience with Cloud Security log analysis (AWS, Azure, and O365).
• Solid understanding of networking protocols including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and the OSI model.
• Practical knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and Cyber Kill Chain.
• Experience with security tools such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, and Proxy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant industry certifications such as CEH, GCIH, GCIA, Security+, or CCNA.
• Exposure to threat intelligence platforms.
