About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine water quality microbial testing following strict Standard Operating Procedures
  • Conduct total Coliform / E.Coli testing, BPD, and oil and grease testing
  • Filter microbiology samples for compliance testing as required by federal regulations
  • Input analytical data into the corporate database
  • Clean and maintain laboratory supplies, including tubing and specialized glassware
  • Adhere to daily QA/QC requirements and company safety guidelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Microbiology or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 months of bench experience in water, milk, or food microbiology
  • At least 30 days of on-the-job training in environmental microbiology
  • Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and basic laboratory practices
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods throughout the day
  • Authorization to work in the United States without restriction

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EPA 1623
  • Training acceptable to the State or EPA in microbiological analysis of water
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and communication
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
