About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the company’s internal controls environment by executing SOX control testing and design assessments.
  • Analyze exception trends, review SOC reports, and coordinate with control owners and auditors.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, remediation tracking, and testing execution for low-complexity controls.
  • Perform control design evaluations, including walkthroughs, sample selection, and evidence review.
  • Prepare document request lists and maintain well-organized testing files to support internal audits.
  • Provide quarterly business support and assist with ad-hoc audit projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in internal audit, SOX testing, compliance, or risk and controls.
  • Strong knowledge of SOX theory, risk assessment, and standard audit methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with audit templates and documentation tools.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish to support cross-regional operations.
  • Working knowledge of data analytics tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with SOC reports and extracting key findings.
  • Experience working within a Shared Services Center environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify control gaps and deviations.
