About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections of real-time gas service installations to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate and schedule fitting work with the Overhaul Department based on field assessments and customer availability.
- Prepare customer service orders, computerized work orders, and leak repair packages.
- Monitor project status using computerized databases and maintain accurate electronic and manual records.
- Identify service replacements within various projects, including main replacements and road construction.
- Inspect pavement installations and assist with leak surveys and rights-of-way as required.
- Collaborate with the Project Management Team to update field work progress and forecast workloads.
- Ensure all work aligns with construction standards and O&M procedures, including recording Abnormal Operating Conditions (AOC).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR Associate degree with 6+ years, OR High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of experience.
- Knowledge of gas distribution construction and maintenance.
- Knowledge of industry federal and state regulations.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn SAP.
- Ability to work after hours for emergencies, storms, and critical assignments.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Operator Qualifications for natural gas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Degree in Engineering or direct experience in the gas utility industry.
