About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete lifecycle of Mandatory Corporate Action data, including collection, analysis, and validation of various data sources.
- Liaise with Issuers, Legal Counsel, Transfer Agents, and DTCC to resolve discrepancies and clarify legal or tax implications.
- Oversee the timely reporting and distribution of mandatory corporate action events across internal and external platforms.
- Provide consulting support for non-standard entitlements and determine applicable fees for custom requests.
- Draft and finalize Depository bulletins and manage dissemination via SWIFT messages and other channels.
- Identify and implement workflow optimizations to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Proactively identify risks and maintain strict adherence to escalation protocols and internal controls.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in financial services, capital markets, or post-trade operations.
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of the Canadian Securities Industry, specifically Equities and Fixed Income.
- Intermediate to expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
- Strong analytical and accounting skills to determine exceptional entitlement payments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority transactions under strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of Corporate Action processing.
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
