Analyst (Accounting Operations)

Responsibilities

• Assist with the review and processing of daily transactions including capital calls, distributions, redemptions, and transfers
• Coordinate the review and updating of monthly and quarterly manager data to ensure proper setup in portfolio accounting systems
• Work directly with custodians to ensure accounts are appropriately set up and entries are made in accounting and performance measurement systems
• Collaborate with team members to compile and review monthly portfolio accounting and performance data
• Review monthly reconciliations and reports, identifying issues and focusing on internal controls and process improvements
• Review key drivers of investment performance and assist senior team members in validating portfolio changes
• Coordinate the review of legal documents to verify fee arrangements and negotiated terms
• Assist with maintaining tax information and liaising with the University’s tax department

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 2-4 years of experience in the investment fund or asset management industry
• Advanced spreadsheet skills, including financial functions and pivot tables
• Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a time-sensitive environment

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification is strongly preferred
