About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive the development of high-performance Die-to-Die (D2D) IPs to enable customer chiplet-based system designs.
- Design, develop, and evaluate PHY analog components for both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation.
- Lead the definition and path-finding for next-generation Die-to-Die IP architectures.
- Customize PHY designs to optimize for application-specific performance, power, and area (PPA) targets.
- Perform critical design trade-offs and implement advanced flows to streamline the analog design process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of analog and digital components within complex SoC environments.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in PHY analog design, including pre-silicon and post-silicon validation.
- Deep knowledge of physical IP such as SERDES, DDR/HBM, or Die-to-Die IO interfaces.
- PhD or MSc in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency with industry-standard EDA software and design tools.
- Expertise in documenting design trade-offs and developing advanced design methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of making strategic technical decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working in globally dispersed teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in layout effects including matching, reliability, and proximity effects.
- Experience with Verilog-A for analog behavioral modeling.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, C, Python, or MATLAB.
