About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe and effective anaesthesia to patients in labour and delivery settings
  • Assess patients pre-operatively
  • Administer epidural, spinal, or general anaesthesia for labour and caesarean sections
  • Manage obstetric emergencies such as postpartum haemorrhage or eclampsia under consultant supervision
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during procedures
  • Communicate clearly with obstetric and midwifery teams
  • Contribute to post-operative care and pain management
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in teaching and audits

Requirements

  • GMC Registered
  • Full FRCA
  • 6+ months NHS SpR experience
  • ALS certification
