About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and effective anaesthesia and analgesia in labour and delivery settings
  • Assess patients pre-operatively and administer epidural, spinal, or general anaesthesia
  • Manage obstetric emergencies such as eclampsia or postpartum haemorrhage under consultant supervision
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being
  • Collaborate with obstetricians and midwives
  • Contribute to post-operative care and supervise junior staff
  • Participate in audits, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • GMC Registered
  • FCRA Part 1
  • 6+ months NHS Registrar experience
  • ALS certification
