About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and effective anaesthesia and analgesia in labour and delivery settings
- Assess patients pre-operatively and administer epidural, spinal, or general anaesthesia
- Manage obstetric emergencies such as eclampsia or postpartum haemorrhage under consultant supervision
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being
- Collaborate with obstetricians and midwives
- Contribute to post-operative care and supervise junior staff
- Participate in audits, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- GMC Registered
- FCRA Part 1
- 6+ months NHS Registrar experience
- ALS certification
