Anaesthesia Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesiologists with patient assessments, sedation, anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery in routine and emergency situations
• Support routine surgical cases by preparing and maintaining patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems
• Sterilize, disinfect, package, and inventory anesthesia-related supplies to ensure seamless operations
• Conduct first-level troubleshooting and maintenance of anesthesia machines and tools
• Maintain an inventory of equipment to track repairs, loaners, and demonstrations
• Monitor pharmacy drug expiration dates and ensure proper disposal of used drugs
• Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for hazardous materials and latex allergy items

Requirements

• Completion of an anesthesia technician program from a nationally recognized institution (minimum 2 years)
• Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in a related field
• Valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Medical license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
