Ammunition Probe Specialist

Responsibilities

• Detect and locate hidden explosive risks and obstructions using specialized detectors and probes
• Perform manual probing and excavation activities to uncover munitions
• Direct munitions clearance workers regarding excavation points and uncovering procedures
• Maintain, care for, and perform daily functional checks on probes and specialized equipment
• Document findings and maintain detector control logs
• Perform marking work within the clearance section and collect scrap or metal parts
• Assist with surveying tasks and maintain work tools

Requirements

• Possession of a probing certificate (Sondierschein) or significant experience using probes
• Proficiency in the German language (written and spoken)
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding manual labor
• Reliability and a clean criminal record (police clearance certificate required)
• Willingness to travel to various construction sites
• Driver's license is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in munitions recovery or explosive ordnance disposal (EOD)
• First aider training/certification
• Experience operating construction machinery such as excavators or drilling equipment
