Responsibilities

• Lead the 2LOD Financial Crime team responsible for overseeing financial crime compliance for Wise Europe
• Oversee the implementation of the Belgian AML Law and ancillary regulations across the EEA market
• Supervise financial crime controls to ensure risks are mitigated in day-to-day operations
• Develop and maintain the Financial Crime oversight framework
• Oversee the approval of high-risk customers and Suspicious Activity Reports
• Prepare quarterly compliance reports for the Board of Directors and periodic reporting for effective leaders
• Represent financial crime oversight to regulators, auditors, and partners
• Manage and mentor the financial crime oversight staff

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of AML/CTF compliance experience
• Proven expertise in designing and challenging compliance processes across multiple products
• Experience working within fast-paced environments
• Fluency in English
• Fluency in either French or Dutch
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas to internal and external audiences
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
