AML QA Analyst

Responsibilities

• Execute quality assurance reviews of AML, KYC, Judicial Orders, and Ombudsman cases in accordance with internal policies and CNBV regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate process deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and support SAR narrative reviews.
• Identify and communicate control weaknesses to management and business owners through established escalation procedures.
• Monitor management queues and dashboards to ensure operational regulatory routines are addressed promptly.
• Partner with engineers, data scientists, and designers to prioritize improvements to AML/KYC operational routines and analysis tools.
• Track metrics and KPIs to facilitate clear communication across teams regarding quality performance and trends.

Requirements

• Experience with quality assurance reviews in a regulated operational environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to execute diligently within established timeframes.
• Proactive and autonomous work style, comfortable building new processes and following regulatory procedures.
• Ability to meet deadlines and adapt flexibly to changing priorities.
• Clear, succinct written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and/or English.
• Genuine alignment with Nu's values and a commitment to building an ethical financial system.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• CNBV certification.
• Knowledge of sanctions, KYC, and AML processes, including CNBV regulations on freezing and money transfers.
• Experience with Banking & Sofipo regulation.
• Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Looker, SQL, or Python.
