AML Officer

Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews of compliance tools to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory obligations
• Perform investigative research using appropriate techniques and provide detailed rationales for decisioning alerts
• Ensure all alerts are handled according to defined procedures regarding quality and timeliness
• Execute specific components of the AML function’s monitoring program
• Stay updated on changes to AML/CFT laws, regulations, and industry best practices
• Report directly to the Head of the AML department

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a regulated financial services environment
• Strong understanding of AML/CFT applicable regulations
• Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Fluency in both English and Greek (written and spoken)
• Proficiency in Google Workspace tools
• Must be a permanent resident in Cyprus or hold a valid work permit

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid CySEC AML Certification
• Knowledge of additional languages
