AML Analyst (Transaction Monitoring)

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor client transactional activities (cards, SEPA, and international) to protect against fraud, money laundering, and financial risks
• Process alerts across various client types, including individuals, freelancers, and businesses
• Manage communication with end-clients and partners to gather supporting documentation when suspicious activity is detected
• Analyze and address customer requests related to potential fraud victims
• Handle external legal requests from authorities or banking partners
• Identify and report emerging trends to the 2nd line to improve scoring rules

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in AML or Compliance, ideally within fintech, banking, or a fast-paced payment environment
• Solid understanding of French law and regulatory frameworks
• Active freelance status in France (mandatory)
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Ability to adhere to strict processes and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using modern tools such as Forest (CRM) or Zendesk
• Experience with specific AML/Transaction monitoring software
