AMHS Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on AMHS systems, including Overhead Hoist Transport (OHT) vehicles, Under-Track Storage (UTS) systems, and conveyor systems
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control malfunctions affecting material transport and wafer handling
• Monitor system performance and respond quickly to alarms to minimize production downtime
• Support the installation, commissioning, qualification, and upgrading of AMHS and sorting systems in collaboration with suppliers and engineering teams
• Maintain and update maintenance records, spare parts inventory, and technical documentation

Requirements

• Completed training or degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
• 1–5 years of experience in automation system maintenance (semiconductor or production environments preferred); entry-level candidates welcome
• Ability to work in confined spaces (less than 1.2m clearance) and at heights up to 4 meters
• Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and EHS standards
• Proficiency in English; German is an advantage
• Familiarity with AMHS control systems (MCS, MES), HMI, RFID, and electrical troubleshooting tools
