American English Transcriber

Responsibilities

• Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken content into text format
• Follow project-specific guidelines regarding formatting, punctuation, and grammar
• Adhere to client-specific Written Domain Conventions and "clean room" policies
• Review and proofread transcripts for accuracy and completeness
• Manage time effectively to meet established deadlines and maintain high productivity
• Handle confidential information with strict discretion and professionalism
• Report technical issues and suggest process improvements to enhance quality

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fluent American English reading, writing, and understanding skills
• Ability to understand a wide range of accents and dialects
• Typing speed of 40 WPM or higher
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Reliable transportation to commute to the Glendale, CA office (this is an on-site position)
• Minimum age of 18 years

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional training in linguistics, transcription, or a related field
• Proficiency with Mac and PC platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace
• Strong research abilities for verifying the spelling of names, locations, and products
