AME Technician

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines including lathes, milling machines, and CNC equipment
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
• Assemble mechanical, wiring, and pneumatic systems
• Measure, examine, and test completed parts for conformance using precision instruments
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot malfunctions
• Assist in the assembly, machining, and qualification of test equipment and systems
• Manage cable termination using soldering and pressing tools, and verify continuities with digital multimeters
• Collaborate with engineers to improve manufacturing processes and contribute to the design of test fixturing

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience as a test technician in a manufacturing or R&D environment
• Hands-on proficiency in operating manual and CNC machines to fabricate or modify test fixtures or prototypes
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a test technician in a manufacturing or R&D environment
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming
• Technical or vocational training
