About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy control system architecture including PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
  • Program and integrate automation technologies such as robotic welding, conveyance, and AGVs
  • Design electrical control systems and develop detailed wiring diagrams using EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Implement data acquisition methods for integration between control systems and MES
  • Lead equipment projects from concept through site acceptance testing and commissioning
  • Provide expert-level technical support for troubleshooting electrical, software, and networking issues
  • Maintain structured methodology for PLC code standards and documentation

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of experience as a Controls or Automation Engineer in high-volume manufacturing
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field
  • Advanced proficiency in industrial PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Beckhoff) and HMI/SCADA platforms
  • Experience with industrial robotics (FANUC, KUKA, ABB) and machine vision (Cognex, Keyence)
  • Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols like Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, or EtherCAT
  • Deep knowledge of controls-reliable safety systems and risk assessment
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN

Preferred Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for FATs and commissioning
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience with precision BIW joining processes or battery/powertrain controls
