AMCS Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate central processing and data collection networks to monitor and control critical facility systems including fire alarms, HVAC, electrical, gas detection, and security
• Analyze system gauges and meters to detect abnormal conditions and determine necessary corrective actions
• Adjust controls and switch equipment via local operations to isolate equipment or affected areas
• Initiate required repair actions and ensure appropriate personnel are notified of system status
• Conduct facility tours at least once per shift to ensure operational integrity

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent
• Two years of experience monitoring a central control system or journey-level experience in HVAC, Electrical, Electronic Technician, Boiler Plant Mechanic, Water/Wastewater, or Maintenance Mechanic roles
• One year of verifiable personal computer experience
• Valid state driver's license
• US Citizenship
• Ability to pass a government security investigation and maintain facility credentials for Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay
• Ability to wear ASTM F2413-05 compliant hard-toed safety shoes
• Physical ability to walk frequently, stand moderately, and lift up to 50 lbs
