About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the Tartan Ambassador program by overseeing a team of 70–120+ student ambassadors responsible for campus tours, events, and visitor experiences.
- Manage the full lifecycle of student employment, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, scheduling, and payroll administration.
- Supervise Lead Tartan Ambassadors and Graduate Interns, providing performance coaching and professional development.
- Oversee daily operations for the Welcome Center, including staffing coverage and resolving operational conflicts.
- Collaborate with Visitor Experience leadership to develop cohesive programming, training content, and long-term recruitment strategies.
- Manage strategic projects such as onboarding redesigns and leadership development tracks.
- Assist with budget planning, audits, and resource allocation related to student employment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, business, higher education administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in customer service, admissions, student affairs, or administrative management.
- Proven experience managing large-scale teams (50–120+ individuals).
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Monday.com.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and travel to on- and off-campus locations as needed.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, including Act 153 clearances.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working specifically within higher education and managing student employees.
- Strong experience in handling difficult conversations with prospective families or campus partners.
