Ambassador

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of residents and the facility during overnight, swing, and weekend shifts
• Respond to emergencies, provide crisis intervention, and de-escalate potential client conflicts
• Maintain professional boundaries while interacting with residents and supporting their reintegration
• Monitor the facility for security and program compliance, including inspecting equipment and submitting maintenance requests
• Document shift activities, participant needs, and incidents in logs and reports
• Encourage residents to engage in available groups, activities, and services
• Communicate effectively with the Program Manager and participate in daily shift change meetings

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or currently working toward a diploma
• Paid experience working with homeless populations
• Knowledge of harm-reduction models
• Basic computer skills
• Female applicants only (due to the specific nature of the residential program)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with individuals dealing with mental health, disabilities, or substance abuse issues
• First Aid/CPR certification
