AM Service Specialist

Responsibilities

• Maintain, enhance, and operate metal powder bed fusion additive manufacturing machines
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Perform unplanned mechanical and electro-optical repairs and machine optimizations
• Diagnose intricate electrical and mechanical issues and document root causes
• Execute complex optical and mechanical calibration procedures
• Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automated systems
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure repair accuracy
• Support continuous improvement and quality programs like AS9100 and IATF 16949
• Assist in developing training programs, work instructions, and standard operating procedures

Requirements

• Ability to lawfully access information subject to US export controls
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or Associates degree with equivalent experience
• Automation and machine control experience with troubleshooting capabilities
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
• Ability to work hands-on with additive technology in a factory environment
• Proficiency with hand tools and test equipment
• Strong technical documentation and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) processes
• Experience with SLM Solutions, EOS, RenAM, or Velo3D machines
