AM News Producer

Responsibilities

• Write on-air news content in an engaging, conversational, authentic, and accurate manner
• Line-produce daily morning news shows
• Pitch compelling stories and develop original content ideas through social listening and independent sources
• Craft stories of all lengths for broadcast and digital platforms
• Research facts to ensure credibility and maintain high journalistic standards
• Use creative production techniques, combining graphics, video, and sound to enhance storytelling
• Booth continuous coverage for live streams during breaking news and community events
• Use data analytics to help shape show content and challenge traditional production methods

Requirements

• 1-3 years of news content experience
• Strong journalistic judgment and an understanding of professional journalism tenets
• Top-notch communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and handle live, breaking news situations calmly
• Strong social media skills and an active news presence on preferred platforms
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ENPS and Edius systems
