Alternative Ops Fund Accounting Senior Associate

Responsibilities

• Maintain client books and records at the asset, investment, and portfolio levels
• Post journal entries and manage revenue recognition and accrual concepts
• Prepare and review financial statements, including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements
• Calculate monthly and quarterly Net Asset Values (NAV)
• Reconcile cash books with bank statements on a daily basis
• Manage schedules for fixed assets, depreciation, deferred revenue, and equity capital
• Perform variance analysis and identify GAAP to NAV differences
• Coordinate payment processing and assist with audit queries
• Maintain books for various entities on both the book and market sides

Requirements

• Graduate or Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance (CA, CWA, or equivalent preferred)
• 4–8 years of experience in financial services accounting, specifically in Private Equity, Asset Management, or Fund Administration
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Investran or Oracle
• Experience with complex fund structures, waterfall computations, and preferred returns
• Experience in real estate fund accounting
• Ability to provide training and mentorship to new joiners
