Alternative Ops Fund Accounting (Hedge) Manager

Responsibilities

• Calculate and validate daily, weekly, and monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) for assigned funds
• Reconcile and review daily cash and portfolio positions, including equities, bonds, swaps, options, and derivatives
• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger entries and income/expense accruals
• Review and validate partner/shareholder allocation calculations, management fees, and incentive fees
• Supervise and train team members on NAV calculation and problem resolution
• Identify and analyze operational risks, recommending procedural changes and controls to ensure compliance
• Manage stakeholder communications and ensure adherence to SLAs and SOPs
• Conduct periodic performance reviews and participate in the hiring and development of staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or a related field
• 10+ years of total professional experience
• Minimum of 5 years in fund accounting with direct supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of trading instruments such as Equities, Options, Bonds, Futures, and Swaps
• Proven experience with NAV calculations and General Ledger analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office products
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Corporate Actions, SEC Yields, and Distributions
• Exposure to Bank Debts and Credit Default Swaps (CDS)
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams
