Alternative Ops Fund Accounting, Associate 2

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and administrative services for client-sponsored investment funds.
• Supervise and review portfolio and hedge fund level accounting for various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and private investments.
• Manage the planning, preparation, and execution of weekly and monthly net asset value (NAV) reporting cycles in accordance with US GAAP.
• Review limited partnership agreements and offering memorandums to ensure compliance with operational and accounting procedures.
• Coordinate external audit requests and requirements for financial reporting, tax, compliance, and risk.
• Support the onboarding of existing client funds and the launch of new funds.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and external governing regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 0-3 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in hedge fund accounting or fund of funds.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong understanding of fund-level profit and loss (P&L) characteristics and their implications on investor allocations.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment and troubleshoot complex accounting problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA qualification.
• Experience with Geneva.
