Alternate Site Manager

Responsibilities

• Serve as second-in-command for DFAC operations at Al Dhafra Air Base, providing leadership and operational oversight.
• Assume full operational control and authority in the absence of the Site Manager.
• Supervise and coordinate a multi-national workforce, including USN, LN, and OCN personnel.
• Manage daily staffing, scheduling, and shift coverage to ensure seamless meal service.
• Enforce strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and temperature control standards.
• Oversee DFAC equipment maintenance, repair coordination, and hood/duct system cleaning.
• Coordinate with COR, ACO, and EFSS leadership to align operations with mission requirements.
• Maintain inventory accountability, supply chain coordination, and operational documentation.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• 5–8 years of experience in DFAC operations or large-scale food service management.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in food service or contingency environments.
• Experience managing high-volume meal production and multi-cultural workforces.
• Strong organizational, communication, and workforce management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting U.S. Air Force or DoD operations.
• Experience in contingency or expeditionary environments (CENTCOM AOR preferred).
• Knowledge of AFCAP reporting requirements and CDRLs.
• ServSafe Manager Certification or equivalent food safety certification.
