About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate casual, permanent pool, and agency staff to fill vacant nursing and ward clerk shifts
- Liaise with clinical staff, hospital coordinators, and external agencies regarding staffing requirements
- Manage electronic casual staffing systems, including Shift match and MyRoster
- Educate new staff on the use of staffing systems
- Provide administrative support to the Central Resource Unit Manager
- Ensure shifts are filled in a timely manner to support safe ward and department operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in healthcare, allocations, or rostering roles is advantageous
- Strong computer literacy and ability to manage electronic staffing systems
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Ability to problem-solve and think critically in high-pressure scenarios
- High level of flexibility to work various shifts across a weekly roster
- Strong time management and attention to detail
