About the role
Responsibilities
- Administer allergy injections to patients according to prescribed protocols
- Observe, record, and report patient vitals and reactions to treatments
- Educate patients on proper injection techniques and self-care measures
- Maintain the immunotherapy room, ensuring cleanliness and adequate supplies
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Ensure patients remain for the required observation time following injections
- React appropriately to patient reactions and inform clinical staff immediately
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow all OSHA regulations
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Ability to travel between office locations (Arlington, Mansfield, and Midlothian)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to perform complex tasks requiring independent judgment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in allergy administration
- Strong experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Interest in learning immunotherapy vial mixing procedures
