Algorithm Systems Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Perform system-level performance analysis to evaluate and optimize advanced airborne sensor capabilities
• Develop, refine, and analyze algorithms to support mission-critical aerospace applications
• Conduct trade studies to compare technical approaches and guide engineering decisions
• Build statistical models and performance predictions for complex, multidisciplinary systems
• Execute detailed data analyses following engineering processes and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to ensure technical alignment and drive program outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in signal processing, image processing, detection theory, or machine learning
• Knowledge of developing and implementing algorithms for airborne surveillance applications
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD Secret security clearance
• U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a STEM discipline
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance
• Experience in UNIX/Linux environments
• Programming experience in C or C++, and hands-on experience using MATLAB or Python for data analysis
• Experience with software change management tools and version control systems
• Experience with realtime programming for embedded or mission-critical systems
