Alarm Technician Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, and evaluate the work of alarm technicians and assistants to ensure quality control and task completion.
• Install, modify, maintain, repair, and overhaul all fire, security, and P.A. systems across district facilities.
• Ensure all district facilities comply with City and State Building Codes and regulations regarding fire alarms, security systems, and fire sprinklers.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for alarm systems, P.A. systems, and fire sprinklers.
• Inspect district facilities regularly to identify maintenance needs and advise the Executive Director of Facilities.
• Estimate costs for repair and installation projects, including labor, materials, and overhead.
• Manage inventory of district-owned tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of all fire, security, and P.A. systems within the District.
• Instruct personnel on the proper and safe use of tools and equipment while ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

Requirements

• Current Fire Alarms System State License.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Proven skills in the maintenance and repair of alarms, Central Systems, and P.A. Systems.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, rules, and regulations related to alarm systems.
• Proficiency in preventive maintenance, breakdown repair, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and extra-curricular functions as requested.
